Software Engineer – Core Java

About the role

Zensar Technologies is looking for a talented Software Engineer – Core Java to join our team in Pune. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a mission-critical Order Management System (OMS) used within Capital Markets trading platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, test, and maintain backend applications using Core Java.
• Analyze and troubleshoot application issues using logs, SQL queries, and UNIX/Linux commands.
• Fix bugs and implement minor enhancements in OMS applications.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and defect resolution activities.
• Support production issue investigation and root cause analysis.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Skills

• Core Java
• Strong understanding of Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Knowledge of Collections Framework, Exception Handling, and Multithreading fundamentals.
• Database / SQL: Good knowledge of RDBMS concepts and SQL.
• UNIX / Linux: Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux commands.
