About the role

Zensar Technologies is looking for a talented Software Engineer – Core Java to join our team in Pune. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a mission-critical Order Management System (OMS) used within Capital Markets trading platforms.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, test, and maintain backend applications using Core Java.
Analyze and troubleshoot application issues using logs, SQL queries, and UNIX/Linux commands.
Fix bugs and implement minor enhancements in OMS applications.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and defect resolution activities.
Support production issue investigation and root cause analysis.

Eligibility

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in Java backend development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Skills

Core Java
Strong understanding of Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Knowledge of Collections Framework, Exception Handling, and Multithreading fundamentals.
Database / SQL: Good knowledge of RDBMS concepts and SQL.
UNIX / Linux: Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux commands.
