About the role

Visa is hiring a Software Engineer for its Payment Fraud Disruption team in Bangalore. The position focuses on building data pipelines, APIs, micro‑services and Generative AI features to detect and investigate fraud. Candidates should have 6 months to 2 years of experience and strong Java or Python skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and distributed applications.
Build and expose APIs and micro‑services that power fraud‑intelligence platforms.
Integrate Generative AI capabilities such as search, summarisation, copilots and RAG.
Apply reliability patterns (retries, circuit‑breakers, graceful degradation) and implement observability.
Write unit, integration, performance and resiliency tests and support production incidents.
Collaborate with product, data‑science, SRE and security teams.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
6 months to 2 years of software engineering experience in enterprise or data‑intensive systems.
Proficiency in Java and/or Python.
Experience building APIs, micro‑services or data pipelines.
Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, OOP and basic CI/CD.
