About the role

Zensar is looking for a senior backend developer to enhance an existing enterprise Java application. The role involves working with Java code, Oracle databases, and a modern CI/CD pipeline while leveraging AI‑assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Java (8+) services using the Apache Struts framework.
  • Design, write, and optimise PL/SQL stored procedures, functions and packages.
  • Integrate code changes through Maven, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Docker.
  • Apply AI developer tools to accelerate coding and validate generated output.
  • Implement unit and integration tests with a focus on correctness.

Eligibility

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java and Oracle development.
  • Self‑directed with the ability to ramp up quickly on new projects.

Skills

  • Core Java (8+) and Apache Struts.
  • Oracle PL/SQL and advanced SQL querying.
  • Build tools: Maven, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker.
  • Experience with AI‑assisted development tools.
  • Strong unit/integration testing practices.
