About the role
Volvo Group is offering a year‑long Graduate Apprentice Trainee program in Bangalore for fresh engineering graduates. The role focuses on CAD design for powertrain components, supporting concept development, industrialisation, and documentation while following Volvo’s hardware development processes.
Responsibilities
- Design casted, forged and plastic parts, pipes, brackets and manage supplier‑provided components.
- Develop concepts and packaging studies to transition designs from idea to production.
- Create detailed part and assembly drawings and assist in release activities.
- Follow Volvo GTT hardware development standards and collaborate across functional teams.
- Demonstrate ownership, proactive learning and strong communication throughout projects.
Eligibility
- Graduated with a B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile or Mechatronics Engineering (2025‑2026 batches).
- Freshers with no prior work experience.
- Willingness to work onsite in Bangalore for the full apprenticeship period.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD design and calculations with good GD&T knowledge.
- Hands‑on experience with Creo and PDM Link.
- Understanding of powertrain technology, materials and related components.
- Strong commitment to quality, deadlines and continuous improvement.
- Effective presentation and communication abilities.
