About the role

Virtusa is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Python Developer to join our team in Bangalore.

Responsibilities

• Requirement Gathering: Coordinating with business analyst units to translate complex client requirements into scalable technical software designs.
• Python Development: Writing, maintaining, and reviewing clean Python scripts, data processing workflows, and automated pipeline scripts.
• SQL Query Optimization: Formulating relational database systems architectures and optimizing query structures to ensure fast access times.
• GenAI/AI/ML Integration: Applying machine learning models and leveraging GenAI methodologies to automate operational workflows and boost engineering productivity.
• Process Automation: Actively identifying manual operational bottlenecks and designing end-to-end automated solutions.
• Quality Assurance: Performing module-level unit testing, system debugging, and execution optimizations to sustain high software quality.
• Technical Documentation: Drafting and updating clear technical runbooks, API endpoint documents, and process flowcharts for active team reference.

Eligibility

• B.E / B.Tech degree from a recognized university.
• Strong working knowledge of Python programming along with fundamental libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn for data processing and analysis.
• Strong foundations in SQL Server, write/optimize database queries, and manage relational database schemas.
• Practical understanding of AI/ML concepts and a proactive interest in implementing Generative AI (GenAI) models and utilities to improve system efficiency.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud systems, specifically serverless computing modules like Azure Functions.
