AI/ML Intern

About the role

Tower Research Capital is offering a six‑month, in‑office AI/ML internship in Gurgaon starting January 2027. Interns will work on building multi‑agent systems, developing statistical and machine‑learning models, and supporting MLOps pipelines within a fast‑paced quantitative trading environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evaluate multi‑agent architectures, handling orchestration, tool‑calling and integration with protocols such as Model Context Protocol.
• Implement agentic coding assistants like Claude Code to speed up development and automate internal workflows.
• Develop statistical and machine‑learning algorithms that address both business and technical challenges.
• Assist with MLOps tasks including deployment, monitoring and maintenance of models in production.
• Run experiments to assess model performance and contribute to fine‑tuning and optimisation efforts.

Eligibility

• Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD from a top university.
• Availability for a six‑month, on‑site internship beginning January 2027.
• Hands‑on experience with modern agentic AI tools such as Claude Code or similar.
• Experience building and deploying models using TensorFlow, PyTorch or comparable frameworks.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices for model lifecycle management.
• Strong Python skills plus practical knowledge of Linux, SQL, Git and Bash; finance background is a plus.
