About the role

Thoughtworks is looking for a seasoned Proposal Manager to lead end‑to‑end bid and proposal activities for its global sales team. Based in Bangalore, the role blends project management, compliance, and storytelling to craft compelling, compliant proposals across technology and industry service lines.

Responsibilities

  • Own the complete bid lifecycle, handling RFPs, RFIs, ITTs, and bid presentations.
  • Write custom proposals, storyboards, and positioning decks that showcase Thoughtworks’ offerings.
  • Utilise generative AI and automation tools, collaborating with design and engineering to create interactive microsites, videos, and prototypes.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams—SMEs, writers, pricing leads, and oral coaches—to deliver high‑quality, visually engaging submissions.
  • Partner with tech and industry service lines to build reusable content libraries, pitch packs, and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Support named pursuits by analysing requirements, estimating effort, and shaping commercial and pricing structures.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E. or B.Tech) plus a Master’s/MBA from a recognised institution.
  • 4–8 years of hands‑on experience in IT services/product presales, proposal authoring, and bid management.
  • Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Proven track record of delivering compliant proposals in regulated environments.
  • Analytical background in cloud, data & AI, CX, digital transformation, or related domains.

Skills

  • Proposal and bid management expertise.
  • Experience with AI‑driven RFP automation and interactive deliverables.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with Shipley or APMP frameworks; APMP certification is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams under tight deadlines.
