About the role
Tata Communications is hiring fresh structural engineers to design and analyse telecom steel structures such as lattice towers, monopoles and guy‑masts. The position is based in Chennai and is open to candidates graduating in the 2025 or 2026 batch with up to one year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and assess telecom structures using Indian and international codes.
- Perform detailed analysis of steel members, foundations and modification schemes.
- Prepare technical documentation, bills of material and engineering reviews.
- Run quality checks and propose strengthening solutions where required.
- Develop Excel‑based calculation tools and support CAD technicians.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or B.E. in Structural Engineering.
- Graduates of the 2025 or 2026 batch.
- 0–1 years of relevant experience.
Skills
- Proficiency in STAAD Pro, MS Tower, RSTAB/RFEM and MS Excel.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, RISA‑3D, Idea StatiCa, Bluebeam and Hilti tools.
- Good knowledge of Eurocodes, Australian codes, IS 800, IS 875 and related standards.
- Understanding of telecom network structures and steel‑member connections.
