About the role

Synopsys is looking for an early‑career engineer to design and verify embedded memory IP such as SRAM, ROM and register files. Based in Noida, the role involves using Cadence Virtuoso, running characterisation and reliability checks, and scripting to streamline the flow.

Responsibilities

Design and simulate SRAM, ROM and register‑file circuits with Cadence Virtuoso.
Support layout engineers to ensure design intent is transferred accurately.
Run bit‑cell characterisation and basic reliability analysis across process, voltage and temperature corners.
Debug circuit‑level issues by analysing simulation results and proposing fixes.
Collaborate with CAD, verification and frontend teams on requirements and timing constraints.
Automate repetitive tasks using C‑Shell, Perl or Python scripts.

Eligibility

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
0–2 years of hands‑on experience in CMOS circuit design, especially with embedded memory.

Skills

Cadence Virtuoso (schematic capture, simulation, layout interaction).
Knowledge of SRAM, ROM or register‑file architectures.
Scripting ability in C‑Shell, Perl or Python.
Understanding of memory bit‑cell design, read/write operations and sense amplifiers.
