Senior Web Engineer - Fan Monetization

About the role

SoundCloud is looking for a Senior Web Engineer to shape fan‑monetization experiences on its desktop and mobile web platforms. You will own feature development, drive performance, and collaborate with global product and engineering teams while leveraging AI‑assisted tooling to deliver high‑quality, accessible web applications for millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain user‑facing web features that boost fan engagement and creator support.
• Utilize AI‑powered development assistants to accelerate coding, code reviews, and testing workflows.
• Partner with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and distributed teams across New York, London, and Berlin.
• Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and roadmap planning for scalability and maintainability.
• Optimize performance, resolve cross‑browser issues, and champion accessibility, testing, and frontend metrics.

Eligibility

• 4–6+ years of professional experience building large‑scale web applications.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and modern web tooling such as Next.js or Vite.
• Demonstrated ability to work in an agile, distributed environment and mentor peers.
• Willingness to collaborate across other stacks (iOS, Android, Go) as needed.
