About the role

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre is looking for a Python‑focused Software Engineer to join its Bangalore team. You will build and maintain scalable Python applications, collaborate with cross‑functional groups, and provide high‑priority support for critical issues while following best‑in‑class development practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain efficient Python‑based services.
Work with product and UI teams to define, design and ship new features.
Write clean, well‑documented code and conduct code reviews.
Troubleshoot, debug and optimise application performance.
Provide rapid support for high‑severity incidents and communicate status to stakeholders.
Document support processes and mentor junior developers.

Eligibility

1 to 3 years of professional experience in Python development.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Skills

Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with its libraries/frameworks.
Front‑end basics: HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Database knowledge – SQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
Version control using Git.
Problem‑solving aptitude and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
