SEO Executive

About the role

Smarther is looking for a fresh‑face SEO Executive to join its Chennai office. You will be responsible for improving the company’s online visibility by researching high‑traffic keywords, optimizing on‑page elements, building quality backlinks, and analysing performance data to guide continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive keyword research to uncover high‑value search terms.
• Optimize website content, meta tags, headings, URLs and overall site structure for better rankings.
• Develop and manage off‑page link‑building campaigns to boost domain authority.
• Track website performance using analytics tools and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with content creators, developers and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are applied.
• Prepare regular performance reports and communicate findings to internal stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Any graduate degree (B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc, B.Com, etc.).
• 0‑2 years of professional experience; freshers are welcome.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Skills

• Keyword research and on‑page optimisation.
• Link‑building and outreach techniques.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console or similar SEO tools.
• Basic understanding of HTML and content management systems.
• Ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
