Logistics Data Analyst Intern

About the role

Siemens Energy is looking for enthusiastic students to join its Gurgaon office as Logistics Data Analyst Interns. You will support global logistics digitalisation by building Power BI dashboards, preparing and validating data, and analysing supply‑chain metrics to drive process improvements. The role offers hands‑on exposure to modern data platforms, AI‑enabled logistics solutions, and cross‑functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design, enhance and maintain logistics KPI dashboards and management reports using Power BI.
• Perform data modelling, Excel‑based analysis and SQL queries to prepare clean, reliable logistics data.
• Analyse transport, warehouse and supply‑chain datasets to spot trends, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to validate reporting requirements and ensure data accuracy.
• Document logistics data objects, business definitions and support data‑governance activities.
• Assist project managers with tracking, status updates and preparation of presentations or training material.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing a B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc, M.E, M.Tech or M.Sc in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within international, cross‑functional teams.
• Detail‑oriented and structured approach to work.

Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Power BI dashboard development and data visualisation.
• SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Fundamental data analytics, modelling and reporting concepts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 productivity tools.
• Basic knowledge of Python (desirable).
