Product Security Intern

About the role

ShopBack is looking for a Product Security Intern to join their security team and contribute directly to protecting millions of users’ data and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Source Code Security Scanning: Use industry-standard SAST tools to scan application source code and identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Security Incident Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor security dashboards and logs for anomalous activity, analyze potential incidents, and escalate issues to senior engineers.
• Vulnerability Assessment and Tracking: Perform routine vulnerability scans on web applications and internal systems, track identified weaknesses, and follow up on remediation progress.
• Website Vulnerability Scanning: Conduct scheduled security scans of ShopBack’s web properties using approved tools.
• Security Documentation: Create and revise technical documents such as security runbooks, process guides, and incident reports.

Eligibility

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a B.E/B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related information discipline.
• Batch 2024, 2025, or 2026 graduating batch.
• Basic knowledge of web or app development, scripting/automation, server or network management, and network security concepts.
