Manual QA Intern

About the role

ShareChat is looking for a Manual QA Intern to join its dynamic engineering team in Bengaluru. This is a hybrid opportunity to work with India's largest homegrown social media company, test cutting-edge AI-generated code, and potentially secure a permanent seat on the team.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications across functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Test and validate code generated by AI agents, analyzing outputs for correctness, edge cases, security issues, and alignment with product requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers to understand feature specs and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios.
• Perform smoke, sanity, and UAT testing on new releases before deployment.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with at least one bug-tracking or project management tool.
• Ability to read and understand code in at least one language.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
