Software Engineering Internship (Students / Trainees)

About the role

HARMAN International is offering a fixed‑term software engineering internship in Bangalore. The program provides hands‑on exposure to embedded RTOS, Android, C, C++ and Linux development within a hybrid work model that requires at least three days a week on‑site.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and debugging embedded software using C/C++ on Linux and RTOS platforms.
• Contribute to Android‑related tasks and learn mobile development basics.
• Support software testing activities, including writing test cases and using emulators or simulators.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Communicate progress and challenges clearly to the team.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or Electronics.
• Must be able to fulfil a mandatory internship requirement or seek short‑term professional experience.
• Basic proficiency in C, C++ and Linux command‑line operations.
• Interest in embedded systems, RTOS concepts and Android fundamentals.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setting with a minimum of three office days per week.
