Software Engineer

About the role

ServiceNow is looking for a Software Engineer to develop clean, scalable, and reusable web applications on its cloud platform. The candidate will collaborate with product owners, design user‑friendly features, and contribute to both new and existing product suites while leveraging AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Write high‑quality, maintainable code following best‑practice guidelines, including code reviews and unit testing.
• Partner with product owners to translate detailed requirements into design, implementation, automated testing, and delivery.
• Design intuitive software components that enable customers to customize functionality.
• Participate in the creation of new products and features and enhance the current product portfolio.

Eligibility

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI into workflows or decision‑making processes.
• Strong passion for JavaScript and web development, with experience in modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object‑oriented design, design patterns, and performance considerations.
• Analytical mindset and good design judgment within established procedures.
