About the role

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Graduate Engineer Trainee to work in its Pune office. The role involves software design and development, coding and testing, Agile practices, database work, web development, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Software Design and Development: Analyse business requirements, design software components, and develop enhancements for existing products using the Microsoft technology stack including C# and ASP.NET.
  • Coding and Testing: Write clean, maintainable code and perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure application quality and reliability before deployment.
  • Agile Practices: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, using tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira to manage tasks and track progress.
  • Database Work: Work with relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, performing data modelling, performance tuning, and query optimisation to support application functionality.
  • Web Development: Build and maintain web-based features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, contributing to user-facing modules that improve the customer experience.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for installation, maintenance, and user guides that help teams and clients understand software capabilities.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively in both individual and team-based settings, engaging with diverse and cross-cultural global teams while delivering against defined milestones and deadlines.

Eligibility

  • Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline from a recognised university.
  • Batch Year: 2025 or 2026 passout (Fresher with 0–1 year of experience).
  • Academic Performance: Minimum CGPA of 7.0 or equivalent percentage.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on knowledge of SQL, Object-Oriented Programming (C#), web development (HTML/CSS/JS), version control systems (Git), and web frameworks like ASP.NET or Node.js.
