Software Engineer I

About the role

Reputation is looking for a Software Engineer I to join its Hyderabad team. You will work on a high‑scale, event‑driven platform that powers real‑time reputation analytics for enterprise customers. The position involves building and maintaining Go micro‑services, supporting Node.js/Express APIs, and occasionally enhancing legacy React front‑ends.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve Go‑based micro‑services within a large distributed system.
• Assist with Node.js/Express and GraphQL API development when required.
• Maintain existing React class‑component applications.
• Update Helm charts and manage deployments across staging, production, and EU environments.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents across services.
• Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests with Testify and testcontainers‑go.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce quality standards.
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams on infrastructure changes.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of professional Go development experience.
• Familiarity with Node.js, Express, and React (class components).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and containerised deployments.
• Exposure to GCP services such as Pub/Sub and to message queues like RabbitMQ.
