About the role

The Technical Lead - Frontend will own the frontend architecture for Rakuten Travel, guiding a team of engineers to develop and maintain a high‑traffic micro‑frontend monorepo based in Bangalore. The role demands strong leadership, deep expertise in modern web technologies, and the ability to drive quality and performance at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the frontend architecture for Rakuten Travel’s micro‑frontend platform.
• Mentor and lead a team of frontend engineers, ensuring best practices and code quality.
• Collaborate with product and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Oversee performance optimization and scalability of the frontend codebase.

Eligibility

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Proven leadership experience at a lead or senior level.
• Relevant engineering degree such as B.E or B.Tech.
