About the role

PayPal is looking for an Accountant to join its Bangalore office. The role focuses on General Ledger reconciliation, posting entries in SAP, resolving reconciling items, and supporting month‑end close activities. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience and a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile assigned General Ledger accounts accurately and timely.
• Clear reconciling items in line with company policy.
• Post General Ledger entries and customer‑account transactions in SAP.
• Research and track outstanding reconciling items.
• Participate in month‑end close processes.
• Identify and propose improvements to reporting and reconciliation workflows.
• Drive adoption of technology solutions that enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve accounting differences.
• Assist with escalated accounting cases when required.

Eligibility

• Any graduate degree (bachelor’s preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience or equivalent education‑experience mix.
• Proficiency in SAP for posting and reviewing entries.
