Associate Software Engineer

About the role

Lowe's India is looking for enthusiastic fresh engineering graduates to join its Bengaluru technology hub as Associate Software Engineers. You will contribute to building and maintaining retail‑focused applications, cloud services, and supply‑chain platforms that serve millions of customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable code in Java, C++, Python or C# for retail application stacks.
• Participate actively in Agile squads, attending stand‑ups, sprint planning and reviews.
• Develop automated test scripts, perform unit testing and troubleshoot defects.
• Assist senior engineers in monitoring production systems and applying patches.
• Document code logic, architectural changes, database schemas and configuration guides.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and international product stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Full‑time engineering graduate or postgraduate (B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc) in Computer Science, IT or related fields.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; freshers are welcome.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, OOP concepts and operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work onsite at Manyata Embassy Business Park, Bengaluru.

Skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern OOP language (Java, C++, Python, C#).
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms and object‑oriented design.
• Fundamental SQL querying and database schema awareness.
• Agile development practices and sprint participation.
• Unit testing and automated test script creation.
• Analytical problem‑solving and quick debugging abilities.
