Software Engineer, Mobile Web (Dots)

About the role

OpenAI is looking for a senior software engineer to own the mobile‑web experience of Dots, its personal AI agent platform. You will craft responsive, accessible interfaces that enable users to create tasks, track agent progress, and give feedback from browsers or phones.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship mobile‑web features for task creation, agent activity review, and feedback loops.
• Build UI components that handle streaming updates, long‑running tasks, intermittent connectivity, and session interruptions.
• Improve performance, loading speed, accessibility, and usability across devices and browsers.
• Collaborate with design and product to prototype interaction patterns that give users clear visibility and control over agents.
• Work with backend and full‑stack engineers on API integration, client‑side state, and reliable synchronization.
• Lead feature development from concept through launch, measurement, and iteration while shaping frontend architecture.

Eligibility

• Minimum five years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on mobile‑web applications.
• Proven track record of delivering polished, production‑grade web products.
