AI Native Intern – Applications Development

About the role

Marsh is looking for an AI Native Intern in Applications Development to join its Pune office. The internship is a hybrid position where you will spend at least three days a week on‑site, working with the IT application development team to build and support AI‑enhanced software solutions for the insurance broking and employee benefits businesses. You will gain hands‑on experience with modern programming languages, generative AI tools, and full‑stack development practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, integrate, test and maintain AI‑enabled applications.
• Utilise AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude or Gemini in daily development tasks.
• Integrate large‑language‑model APIs into functional prototypes and workflows.
• Craft and refine prompts to obtain reliable, context‑aware AI outputs.
• Validate AI‑generated code and results for correctness, security, privacy and performance.
• Document design decisions, assumptions, guardrails and validation approaches throughout the project lifecycle.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related engineering discipline.
• Expected graduation year: 2027.
• Minimum 60 % aggregate academic score with no active backlogs.
• Demonstrated hands‑on programming experience in at least one language (Python, JavaScript, Java or C#).
• Practical exposure to AI/ML concepts and at least one AI‑focused project or prototype.
• Working knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
