Data Scientist

About the role

As a Data Scientist in HPE’s Finance and Corporate Strategy team in Bengaluru, you will turn financial and operational data into actionable insights that guide capital strategy and business decisions. You’ll work with structured and unstructured datasets, build predictive models, and visualise results for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and validate data sets and user‑experience requirements.
• Develop, enhance and maintain metadata aligned with analytic goals, including loading data into the platform.
• Prepare data for exploratory analysis and hypothesis testing.
• Build and evaluate predictive models, selecting the best performing solution.
• Support research and delivery of data‑science solutions to business problems.
• Create visualisations and dashboards to communicate model insights.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or a related field.
• Basic understanding of data‑science methodologies and business requirements.
• Familiarity with analytics tools such as Python, R, SAS or SPSS.
• Introductory knowledge of machine‑learning concepts and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend).
