Software Engineer Intern

About the role

As an AI‑focused Software Engineer intern at Harman India, you will work within Engineering Operations to design, build and deploy large‑language‑model powered agents that automate business workflows. The position is hybrid, based in Harman’s Bengaluru office, and offers hands‑on exposure to cutting‑edge Agentic AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and pinpoint areas where AI‑driven automation can add value.
• Design and develop LLM‑based agents using platforms such as OpenAI or Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Integrate the agents with enterprise tools, REST APIs and existing systems to create functional prototypes.
• Test, iterate and refine AI solutions based on stakeholder feedback and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into scalable AI implementations.
• Document prototypes and share learnings with mentors and business partners.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or a related field.
• Good grasp of large language models, prompt engineering and AI automation concepts.
• Practical experience with Python and building REST‑API integrations.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive attitude.
