Software Engineer

About the role

Google is hiring a Software Engineer for its Bangalore office to develop and maintain product and system code, conduct peer code reviews, update documentation, and troubleshoot issues. Responsibilities

• Develop new product or system features by writing clean, efficient code.
• Perform code reviews for teammates, ensuring adherence to style guides, testability, and performance standards.
• Maintain and enhance documentation or educational material, adapting it to product updates and user feedback.
• Investigate and resolve product or system problems by analyzing root causes and their impact on hardware, network, or service quality.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least one year of software development experience using languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Preferred: Experience building accessible technology solutions.
