About the role

The Google Network Operations Residency Program is a two-year, full-time programme designed for university graduates who are passionate about networking, infrastructure, and systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Network Infrastructure Operations: Monitor, maintain, and improve Google’s global networking infrastructure.
• Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Respond to network connectivity issues and service degradations.
• Automation & Tooling Development: Design and build scripts, tools, and automation pipelines.
• Planned Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with regional and global teams to schedule and execute hardware replacements, software upgrades, and capacity expansion activities.
• Performance Monitoring & Analytics: Leverage Google’s internal monitoring platforms to track network health metrics.

Eligibility

• B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Batch Year: Graduates from the 2024, 2025, or 2026 batch are eligible to apply.
• Technical Skills: Experience with networking fundamentals, Unix/Linux systems administration, and coding or scripting in Python, Shell, Java, or C/C++.
