About the role

Fynd is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to ensure the quality, reliability and performance of its software products. The role blends strong coding ability with a testing mindset and leverages AI techniques to build intelligent, automated test solutions that scale with the business.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain automated frameworks, tools and scripts for functional, regression, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
  • Write clean, maintainable test code and utilities that boost engineering productivity.
  • Partner with developers, product managers and other stakeholders to define test strategies aligned with requirements.
  • Identify, log and track defects, verify fixes and prevent regressions.
  • Apply AI‑based tools or models to enhance test creation, defect detection and test optimisation.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve testing coverage and efficiency.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in software development, test automation or SDET roles.
  • Proven ability to write high‑quality, maintainable test code.
  • Hands‑on experience with software testing methodologies and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with AI tools or techniques applied to testing.
  • Experience working in agile teams.

Skills

  • Strong programming skills for test automation.
  • Knowledge of AI‑driven testing approaches.
  • Proficiency with version control (Git) and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Understanding of performance, reliability or security testing concepts (preferred).
