Front-End Web Developer

About the role

The Eclipse Foundation is looking for a Front-End Web Developer to join its Software Development team. You will build and maintain public‑facing websites, web applications, and reusable front‑end components that power the Foundation’s open‑source ecosystem. The role is fully remote, collaborating with a distributed team to deliver accessible, performant, and standards‑compliant user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable front‑end components and libraries.
• Contribute to the front‑end design system and component library.
• Build responsive, accessible UI that integrates with REST APIs.
• Write clean, testable JavaScript/TypeScript code and automated tests.
• Document components, patterns, and technical decisions.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.

Eligibility

• At least two years of professional web development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern front‑end practices.
• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team.
