About the role

ConnectWise is looking for a Principal Software Engineer I to lead the design, development, and maintenance of large‑scale production services, web applications, data pipelines and streaming systems. Based in Mumbai, the role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software that meets coding standards and supports the company’s current and future operations.

Responsibilities

Provide detailed technical support to engineering teams and mentor junior members.
Research, analyze, and document technical findings to drive innovation.
Design, build, and maintain large‑scale services, web apps, data pipelines and streaming platforms.
Debug production issues across multiple layers of the technology stack.
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes across the organization.
Participate in testing activities, including test review, analysis, and certification.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
Proven ability to manage projects and processes independently.

Skills

Strong knowledge of programming languages and software fundamentals.
Experience with version‑control systems, build pipelines, debuggers and test frameworks.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and fast‑paced environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
