Banking Support Analyst

About the role

The Banking Support Analyst will work within Citi's Mumbai Industry Analytics Group, supporting global investment banking teams. The role involves conducting industry and company research, financial valuation, and preparing client‑ready materials for M&A, equity, and debt transactions.

Responsibilities

• Research and compile industry and market overviews.
• Analyze companies, reviewing operations, financials, and key performance indicators.
• Perform relative valuations using comparable and precedent transaction analysis.
• Prepare newsletters and briefing materials for senior management.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure high‑quality deliverables and manage timelines.

Eligibility

• Strong grasp of accounting and corporate finance concepts.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in teams, take ownership, and drive innovative ideas.
• Education: MBA, CA, or Masters in Finance.
