Software Engineer Trainee

Cisco is hiring a Software Engineer Trainee – Technical Graduate Apprentice at its Bangalore, Karnataka office. This is a fantastic opportunity for 2025 and 2026 batch graduates from BCA, B.Tech, and BE programs to kickstart their career with a global tech giant through a structured 12-month apprenticeship program starting September 2026.

About the role

As a Software Engineer Trainee – Technical Graduate Apprentice at Cisco’s Bangalore office, you will be part of the IT team that manages developer tools, asset management, and production service operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive the timely completion of all required apprenticeship certifications and assigned projects, building a strong foundational understanding of Cisco’s Asset Management business operations and service delivery frameworks.
• Act as a backup Customer Account Manager (CAM) during the second half of the program, providing essential support to assigned accounts and ensuring seamless service continuity for Cisco’s enterprise clients.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of automation projects that enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of delivery processes, leveraging tools and technologies relevant to Cisco’s IT landscape.
• Proactively identify inefficiencies in existing workflows and apply technical skills to streamline operations, helping the team achieve better overall performance metrics.
• Support the globally consistent and scalable entitlement renewal process, focusing on lifecycle management accuracy and enabling renewal managers to concentrate on strategic customer engagement.

Eligibility

• Completed bachelor’s degree in BCA, B.Tech, BE, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Must have graduated in 2025 or 2026 and possess a Provisional Degree Certificate at the time of joining.
• Must be enrolled as a student on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal at nats.education.gov.in and hold a valid student enrolment number issued by NATS.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of MS Office tools; familiarity with software development concepts is an advantage.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with a passion for learning, a proactive “can-do” attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
