Back End Developer

About the role

Aurigin Media is seeking a Back End Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable server‑side applications and APIs. The position welcomes fresh graduates with solid programming fundamentals as well as candidates with up to two years of practical experience, offering a fast‑paced environment to grow backend expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and sustain backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Write clean, reusable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Model, query, and optimise relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Integrate backend APIs with frontend applications and third‑party services.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and security issues.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product teams to deliver features.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain version control using Git.
• Assist in deployment and monitoring of applications in development and production environments.
• Stay current with emerging backend technologies and continuously improve technical skills.

Eligibility

• Fresh graduates with relevant projects or internships are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of hands‑on backend development experience are also welcome.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities are required.

Skills

• Solid understanding of OOP concepts and programming fundamentals.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, or .NET.
• Experience with REST API design and consumption.
• Knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic query optimisation.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control.
• Understanding of authentication, security practices, and error handling.
