About the role

Aspen Technology is looking for a C++ Developer to join its Bangalore engineering team. You will contribute to building and enhancing high‑performance software that supports geophysical and asset‑optimization applications used by heavy‑industry customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and maintain reusable, efficient C++ code following modern standards.
Extend and support both desktop and web‑based geophysical software platforms.
Improve code quality, usability and performance of existing applications.
Identify and resolve performance, stability or algorithmic issues in the codebase.
Collaborate with customers to understand workflows and propose practical solutions.
Debug, troubleshoot, and fix reported defects.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
1‑2 years of professional experience in C++ development, preferably with C++17.
Strong grasp of object‑oriented principles and design patterns.
Hands‑on experience with multithreading on Windows and Linux environments.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Ability to work independently as well as within distributed teams.
