Junior Software Developer in Test

Apple is hiring a Junior Software Developer in Test (SDET) within its IS&T (Information Systems & Technology) division. This is a prestigious opportunity for early-career professionals with 1-2 years of experience to work with one of the world’s most innovative companies in Bangalore.

About the role

The IS&T team is looking for a Junior SDET who can build test plans, strategies, and cases for various applications and features. You will collaborate with Development and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) teams to deliver high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning: Building QE test plans, strategies, and cases for any given app or feature.
• Automation: Performing automation, performance, and code quality testing using tools like Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and JMeter.
• GenAI Integration: Utilizing GenAI models for coding assistance and testing tasks.
• Collaboration: Collaborating with Dev and Project teams to execute test plans and deliver high-quality products.
• API Testing: Testing REST APIs and Web Services using tools like Postman and SOAPUI.
• Reporting: Providing project managers with timely testing status and summarizing results at project conclusion.

Eligibility

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of combined work experience in Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Quality Engineering.
• Programming Skills: Experience working with Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

Skills

• Technical Stack: Exposure to automation tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber-JVM.
• Knowledge of CI/CD integrations (Jenkins, SonarQube).
• Experience with API testing (REST, Postman).
• Emerging Tech: Exposure to GenAI solutions and AI models is a significant plus.
