Trellix is an American multinational cybersecurity company headquartered in San Jose, California. The company was formed in 2022 from the merger of the enterprise businesses of McAfee Enterprise and FireEye, both of which had been acquired by the private-equity firm Symphony Technology Group, and operates as one of the largest pure-play cybersecurity vendors focused on extended detection and response. Trellix's product portfolio spans extended detection and response, endpoint security, security operations and analytics, email security, network detection and response, data protection, threat intelligence via the Advanced Research Center, and managed-detection-and-response services. The Trellix XDR platform integrates these capabilities and is used by enterprise security operations centres and government agencies globally. Sister company Skyhigh Security was carved out of the same combined entity to focus on Secure Service Edge. Trellix India operates a large engineering, research, and customer-success centre headquartered in Bengaluru, with additional sites supporting global support and corporate functions.
