PhysicsWallah, often abbreviated as PW, is an Indian education-technology company headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It offers online and offline preparation programmes for engineering, medical, government, and other competitive examinations, as well as K-12 supplemental learning, skilling, study-abroad, and higher-education courses through PW Skills and PW Institute of Innovation. The brand began as a YouTube channel started by Alakh Pandey in 2014 and was incorporated as PhysicsWallah Private Limited in 2020 with co-founder Prateek Maheshwari. PhysicsWallah became a unicorn in 2022 after raising venture capital from WestBridge and GSV Ventures, and has since raised follow-on rounds from Hornbill Capital, Lightspeed, and others. In 2025 the company filed and progressed plans for an initial public offering. PhysicsWallah operates more than 100 offline Vidyapeeth and Pathshala centres across India, in addition to its mobile app and YouTube channels.
