About Barracuda Networks, Inc.

Barracuda Networks, Inc. is an American cybersecurity company headquartered in Campbell, California. The company develops and sells a broad portfolio of email-protection, application-and-cloud-security, network-security, data-protection, and managed extended detection and response (XDR) products designed primarily for small and medium-sized businesses, mid-market enterprises, and the managed-service providers that serve them. The firm was founded in 2003 by Dean Drako, Michael Perone, and Zach Levow with an initial focus on appliance-based email anti-spam protection. Over the following two decades, Barracuda expanded into web-application firewalls, network firewalls, cloud-delivered email security, secure-access service edge, backup, archiving, and SOC-as-a-service offerings, and transitioned much of its portfolio to subscription and cloud-delivered models. Barracuda was originally listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2013 and was taken private by Thoma Bravo in 2018. In August 2022 KKR completed an acquisition of Barracuda from Thoma Bravo, and the company has continued to operate under the Barracuda brand as a private company. More than 200,000 organisations worldwide use Barracuda products for email, network, application, and data protection. Barracuda employs more than 2,000 people globally with offices in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region, and India. India operations include an engineering, support, and global services centre in Bengaluru, with additional staff in Delhi NCR. Indian fresher and early-career hiring at Barracuda targets software-engineering, security-engineering, threat-research, cloud-engineering, customer-support, and technical-account-management roles, with applications routed through barracuda.com/company/careers.
