The company was founded in 1997 as SRC LLC by Dean Stoecker, Olivia Duane Adams, and Ned Harding, originally focused on geospatial and demographic analytics, and was renamed Alteryx in 2010. It went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2017 under the ticker AYX, and was taken private in March 2024 by Clearlake Capital and Insight Partners.
