Software Development Engineer in Test 1 (SDET1)

About the role

WeWork India is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test 1 (SDET1) to join their team in Bengaluru. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, quality, and performance of our proprietary products.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Testing: Perform thorough manual testing to identify defects, validate new features, and guarantee robust product quality.
• Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with Developers and Product Owners to define requirements, design test strategies, and participate actively in test planning and execution.
• Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts tailored for web, mobile, and API platforms.
• Release Management: Ensure smooth, timely product releases by taking ownership of the QA process across the entire product lifecycle.
• Framework Enhancement: Identify critical areas for process improvement and actively contribute to maintaining and upgrading the test automation framework.

Eligibility

• Strong grasp of manual testing concepts, including rigorous test case design, effective bug identification, and detailed reporting.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, with a strong preference for Java.
• Hands-on familiarity with tools and frameworks like Selenium, Maven, TestNG, Page Object Model (POM), Playwright, and Load Testing (e.g., n8n, Jmeter).
• Solid understanding of Web application testing, Mobile application testing, and backend API testing.
