About the role
Western Digital is seeking an AI & Automation Engineer Intern to join its Information Technology team within the Enterprise AI & Digital Tech organization. The intern will help design, develop, and optimise AI‑driven chatbot and automation solutions that improve employee interactions with enterprise IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and configure AI‑powered chatbots and virtual agents using Microsoft Power Virtual Agents, Power Apps and Python.
- Assist in building and fine‑tuning automation workflows with Moveworks and related agentic AI tools.
- Integrate intelligent search and assistant capabilities via Glean Search, Assistant and Agents.
- Write backend automation scripts, primarily in Python, to support AI use cases.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into functional AI solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand‑ups and retrospectives.
