Junior Full Stack Developer

About the role

VOPA is looking for a junior full‑stack developer to join its engineering team in Pune. You will work on real‑world features for the company’s web and mobile platforms, collaborate with senior engineers, and gradually own end‑to‑end components while learning how large‑scale systems are built and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Develop user‑facing features using React and React Native.
• Implement backend services with Python and FastAPI, interfacing with MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Write and optimise SQL/NoSQL queries and APIs.
• Investigate and resolve production issues reported by teachers and end users.
• Contribute unit tests and participate in code reviews.
• Observe and learn deployment, monitoring, and scaling practices for high‑traffic applications.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and the CTO, taking incremental ownership of complete features.

Eligibility

• Strong fundamentals in programming concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Basic understanding of Python and API development.
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Comfortable using Git for version control.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and debug existing codebases.
• Quick learner who can pick up new technologies as needed.
