Android Engineer

About the role

Target is hiring an Android Engineer for its Bangalore office. The position is on‑site, full‑time and targets candidates with 1‑2 years of software development experience. The role focuses on creating and maintaining Android applications that align with Target’s retail technology platform, offering a salary in the range of 16‑21 LPA.

Responsibilities

• Leverage current and emerging technologies within the Android domain to deliver robust solutions.
• Work with package‑specific programming languages and develop custom solutions for business processes.
• Continuously build domain knowledge and apply it to create tailored software components.
• Write production‑grade code in at least one language while understanding distributed programming concepts.
• Manage transaction codes and master‑data interactions relevant to the assigned package.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical expertise through formal training and self‑directed learning.

Eligibility

• Four‑year undergraduate degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of one year of professional software development experience.

Skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Strong coding abilities and problem‑solving skills.
• Solid grasp of data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language and distributed system concepts.
• Understanding of package‑specific development and transaction handling.
