Software Engineer

About the role

Stryker is seeking a Software Engineer to create and validate embedded software for its medical devices. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, contributing to connectivity solutions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position offers a hybrid work model based in Gurgaon, Haryana.

Responsibilities

• Architect, code, integrate, and test embedded firmware for medical equipment.
• Develop connectivity features such as device‑to‑device, device‑to‑mobile, and device‑to‑cloud communications.
• Convert product and system requirements into clear software specifications and design solutions.
• Execute software design, implementation, debugging, verification, and validation activities.
• Work closely with systems, electrical, quality, regulatory, digital, and manufacturing teams.
• Support new product introductions, enhancements, and engineering change requests.
• Contribute to software quality, reliability, cybersecurity, and compliance efforts.
• Participate in technical reviews, problem‑solving sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
• 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience in embedded software development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Experience with microcontroller‑based platforms and embedded design.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, or BLE.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
