About the role

Standard Chartered is offering a 12‑ or 24‑month Apprenticeship in Operations for recent graduates (2024‑2026) at its Chennai office. The programme provides hands‑on exposure to banking transaction processing, data handling, reporting and risk controls while developing analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily processing activities to ensure accurate and timely transaction completion.
• Monitor operational performance and customer service standards.
• Assist in resolving client queries and improving service outcomes.
• Track key metrics and maintain data for reporting and decision‑making.
• Help managers oversee transactions and meet payment obligations.
• Learn and apply operational risk, controls and governance requirements.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives within the team.

Eligibility

• Graduated in 2024, 2025 or 2026 with a three‑year undergraduate degree such as B.Com, BBA, BBM, BMS or equivalent.
• Legal right to work in India.
• Strong academic record and active extracurricular involvement.
• No prior banking experience required.
