About the role

Spyne, an AI‑first automotive retail startup, is looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer Intern to join its technology team in Gurgaon. Over a six‑month, office‑based internship you will contribute to both frontend and backend features, work with AI‑driven products, and gain hands‑on experience building scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and implement new UI components and server‑side logic using React.js and Node.js.
Develop, test, and integrate RESTful APIs and related backend services.
Interact with databases to support data‑centric features.
Translate product and UI specifications into clean, maintainable code.
Debug issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and optimise performance.
Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
Collaborate closely with frontend, backend, product and AI teams.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver end‑to‑end under mentorship.

Eligibility

Pursuing or recently completed B.Tech, B.E., BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong academic background, preferably from IITs, NITs, BITS, NSUT, DTU or similar institutes.
Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and core programming concepts.

Skills

Proficiency in JavaScript.
Familiarity with React.js and/or Node.js.
Basic understanding of REST APIs and relational/NoSQL databases.
Experience with Git/GitHub version control.
Knowledge of HTML and CSS (plus).
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS (plus).
