Principal Software Engineer (Frontend)

About the role

Skillz is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the frontend architecture of its real‑time mobile gaming platform. Based in Bangalore, you will design high‑performance UI components, build developer SDKs, and drive technical strategy for interactive gaming experiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the frontend architecture for real‑time gaming interfaces.
• Design and implement high‑performance UI using React, TypeScript, and React Native.
• Develop and maintain SDKs that enable third‑party developers to integrate Skillz services.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless multiplayer experiences.
• Mentor senior engineers and promote best practices in code quality and performance.
• Ensure scalability and reliability of frontend systems across web and mobile.

Eligibility

• Minimum 12 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven expertise in frontend architecture and real‑time UI development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) or related field.
