About the role

Monotype is seeking a Software Engineer Trainee to join their team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in C programming, algorithm design, and modern developer tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a small Agile/Scrum team to design, build, and maintain high-quality customer-facing software applications.
• Develop comprehensive automated unit and integration tests to support new feature rollouts.
• Deepen product knowledge by actively contributing to the development lifecycle of core Monotype applications.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with project stakeholders, peers, and technical leads across teams.

Eligibility

• B.E / B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related engineering branches.
• Fresh engineering graduates seeking entry-level software engineering trainee positions.

Skills

• Core Programming: Deep, practical command over C language and data structures/algorithms is mandatory.
• Software Engineering Principles: Solid grasp of memory optimization, platform-independent coding, and computational complexity analysis (Time & Space Complexity).
• Build Tools & Environments: Hands-on experience working with Visual Studio or Makefiles.
• Version Control: Practical familiarity with Git, GitHub workflows, and feature branching strategies.
